Pink Circles

Les Copains jacket, Alexander Wang shirt & shorts, Yves Saint Laurent heels, Chanel bag & ring, Prada sunglasses

Over the years, I have gradually become more certain that it's a challenging task to craft up an outfit with this blazer's overly conspicuous pink polka dots (I prefer to call them circles just because). In spite of that, I played on the girly pink-white coloration with an ever transparent leather-bordered shirt and leather shorts that seem to have assimilated into the greater consciousness and basics category of my wardrobe. The whole thing turned out better than I presumed because of the compatible contrast of the jacket and doubled leather.

White On White

Theyskens' Theory blazer and jeans, Giorgio Armani silk camisole, Roger Vivier bag, Sergio Rossi wedges, Hermès kelly double tour bracelet

Wearing white uniformly from top to bottom is such a pure and simple concept with high impact, which is what I am essentially into these days. Considering that I have several black jackets but none in white, this blazer is something that is truly handy considering that white is a prime portion of summer's palette. With matching cropped jeans, it makes a perfect set, kinda like a suit.

Continuous and Full of Feeling

St. John tweed jacket, Free People lace top, Seven For All Mankind shorts, Chloé boots, Chanel bag & sunglasses

This airy mixed lace top is one of those multi-season pieces that can be layered under or over pretty much anything. I kept layering to a minimum here for some light-soaking transparency and instead threw on a grassy green tweed jacket with an amplified collar that compliments the minuscule lace detailing of what's underneath.

Camellia Flower

Giorgio Armani jacket, Theory top, Free People jeans, Isabel Marant heels, Louis Vuitton bag

Lines or, in more sartorial terms, stripes are prints too you know. Just because lines are insipidly defined as the segment between two points doesn't mean they are inferior in style to the cutesy strawberries or birds you see on print trend fanatics this spring. Let's start from the ground up. You can see a linear motif going on with the horizontal lines on the bucket bag and the nearly imperceptible lines meandering around the nether half of the outfit.

Then there are the inky streaks on the heels that don't quite fit into the category of lines but rather zebra stripes on heeled hooves if you will. Exuding a safari meets pointy-toe princess shoes look, these heels contrastingly correlate with the ultra sleek silver of a collier de chien (another allusion to the animal world). Now back to the upper region of the outfit, you will find a seemly structured and fitted blazer that is ideal for taming and keeping the wild in check. Remember, blazers are not just for guys. Zebra stripes are not just for zebras.

Blustery Day

Theory knit, Zara jeans, Chanel bag, Hermes belt, Chanel boots, Louis Vuitton boots, leather gloves from Italy, Hermes bracelet

Chanel sunglassesYou should have seen how my hair was "whipping back and forth" in the wind. Conor began laughing to no end, impeding his ability to use the camera without blurring everything out. Don't be fooled by the stillness of these photos. Flashes of silver here and there teamed up with this chevron patterned Chanel bag spiced things up a bit. It's almost perturbing that the bold pinkish red color of the bag precisely but unintentionally coordinates with the Chanel lipstick and those little flowers.
