Chanel Surfboards

When I saw these, the first thing that I weirdly conjured up was Coco Chanel surfing the waves with these things. Surfing the Chanel way. She might want to lose the heels and tweed jackets ahead of time though. I have never been surfing, but if I decide to, I'm gonna try to get my hands on one of these...

Early Morning Tennis

It feels really different to play in the desert with cacti and mountains of boulders everywhere!

Sedona Day

On the fifth day of my trip to Scottsdale, I took a day-trip to Sedona. This is where you literally see the true colors of Arizona. The mountains have a dusty red hue that sparkles in the golden light of the sunset. Ice cream at the Black Cow Cafe was a must in the exciting atmosphere of the many shops and caf├ęs that lie among the red rocks! There was a shop that makes the cutest candles in the shape of a sphere. I found several sculptures of interestingly portrayed animals and figures that are hidden throughout downtown Sedona as well. Everyone seemed to ignore them, except me.

Hiking Pinnacle Peak Park

I loved the fresh early morning hike to Pinnacle Peak Park, which is basically a mountain of boulders. It feels surreal to reach the top and look down at where you started. You feel like you are top of the world, and you are literally not too far from it up there! It took about an hour to get to the highest point of 2,889 feet, which is where I left off. The complete hike is 3.5 miles and goes through two mountains. I need to finish it one day!

Arizona Dining

Oasis Suite

What I love about  this resort is that they have a distinct style exclusively for Scottsdale, Arizona. It's so interesting how buildings are designed to match the weather and landscape they are grounded on. The exteriors exude an authentic, contemporary style that camouflages with the desert. The interior of my suite was designed with detail and character in every corner. Various patterns including polka dots, stripes, and tribal prints are effortlessly blended together to give the room a dose of charisma. The Oasis suite features a private outdoor plunge pool surrounded by foot cooling pebbles and intricately shaped cacti. Moreover, I gladly made use of the private outdoors shower, which is surrounded romantic walls covered with vines and vividly green leaves that drop down to the soothing blue pebbles that lie among the crowd of fresh desert flowers.
