the instant you glance at one of these looks from balenciaga for this fall and winter, you would have no doubt in your mind that it is in fact very much balenciaga. i added in a couple from the mens collection as well so you know how to dress up your guy this fall. of course, balenciaga once again put an emphasis on cozy sweaters and chunky knits but this time teamed them with a patent leather-ish material. i kind of love the belt with the casual sweater-tied-around-the-waist effect. it brings back memories from elementary school when around the waist was the only place you can put your sweatshirt without losing it in the sandbox. and who says bright colors and color blocking should stop after spring or even summer?

I'm so preparing for a Star Wars Galactic Battle with the leather metallic vest and the high collar. I love the silvery cracked leather and the ankle straps on my new Chanel fall runway boots. Finished off the just-came-from-outer-space look with a weird fuchsia lip color, Chanel "Provocative."

woke up at 7:00am this morning, and i thought it was saturday for a few lovely seconds until i realized i had to roll out of bed to go to school, like the minutemen that were always ready to take on the revolutionary war. yeah, i would say that is a fairly accurate comparison.
to make up for the reality of these hectic school days, i wore my new Isabel Marant boots! after wearing the black ones i have worn over a million times, i realized it is most wise to buy another in this camel color, which is basically just as practical as black. i just realized everything i wore today for school is new!

i bought this tweed jacket several years ago. i was crazy about the color, which is kind of a lime green except it is not quite as neon. usually i wear it with black (head to toe) to make the green the center of attention, but it might not be a bad idea to pair it with some contrasting color like electric blue for spring. anyway, by the time i took off my jacket when i was taking these photos, i nearly froze into an ice cube, or more of an ice figure. you can see i was bundling up with my chanel.

THE WEEKEND. Saw War Horse last night. It put tears in my eyes but I liked it overall. I just came back from South Coast Plaza with new Balenciaga shoes. Back to school again tomorrow. This cold, cloudy weather is making it feel like the beginning of winter again.

Considering what I wear and how much I spend on designer and luxury items as a 17 year old girl, you would probably think "damn, this girl is so rich." No. I am an normal girl living in a normal house with a normal family. So how can I afford to do what I am doing?
First of all, fashion and everything luxurious is truly my passion. I dress according to the dictates of my heart and soul. Fashion and beautiful things make me happy, although they aren't everything. I have an eye for things of quality, and I prefer purchasing items that increase in price over time as opposed to decrease over time. For example, a Rolex watch steadily goes up in price as you wear it, while a car goes drastically down in value as you use it. Plus, I don't go shopping every weekend and buy clothes in huge bulks just because they are cheaper, which is what most teenage girls do (Forever 21 is a killer in this sense, although I do find a few pieces I really like here and there). Instead, I go for pieces that I really love, last long, are made of high quality materials, and look like a million bucks. And I don't buy too many of them either, but I am a repeater when it comes to wearing clothes, shoes, bags, whatever and I'm proud of it. I must mention, it helps to have a fun mom crazy for high fashion and luxury too. Oh, and I gave up having a car for several more years in exchange for buying things like a Chanel bag, a Hermes bracelet, a Balenciaga leather jacket...the list goes on and on. Life is full of compromises, isn't it?

(st. john couture jacket, bcbg top, alexander wang bag, isabel marant boots, j. crew socks)
after staying in las vegas for several days, it seems like la is so peaceful. i spent the day in fashion island and had dinner at r+d. the light mist and breeze from the ocean and a 10 to 1 ratio of space to people makes newport beach the exact opposite of vegas. going back to school tomorrow after two weeks off. it's going to be impossible to get out of bed.

i love mornings in vegas just as much as i love the night here. i just had a quick breakfast at a patisserie here in bellagio. then i went out to see the water dance one more time. today is my last day here. the view of the city is something i don't want to leave. now i know i am a city girl. i love lights and high buildings and shows and hotels and shopping and dining!
