Giorgio Armani top, All Saints skirt, Hermès belt, Chanel bag and boots
It was such a pleasure to see the Chloé and Saks Fifth Avenue shows for Fashion's Night Out South Coast Plaza and stop by the stores. Thank you Kat, PR Manager of South Coast Plaza for the invite to FNO and all your support for the blog!
I've always been a lover of all things Chloé from their studded ankle boots I wear a lot these days and saddle inspired bags to perfect blends of neutrals and nudes. I was excited to see roomy sweaters mostly in the form of cable knits paired with architectural silhouettes and textured pieces like a pine green quilted leather skirt. Intricate patterns were fun to look at especially the gingham on tartan plaids on top of each other. All the lace and top-to-bottom crochet pieces were too ethereal to look away from and the ankle strap suede shoes are clearly season-less staples.
As for the Saks Fifth Avenue show, there were a few very specific things I got kind of feverish for upon first sight. There was this little red riding hood snood/scarf thing that looks ideal for freezing days. I mean, take a look at those massive, mobility-restricting Mongolian fur sleeves and that leopard hat. Then there is that silvery, drafty dress that hangs perfectly off the body, and when it seemed like there is no way it can get better, it somehow did. The backside with its deep curved cut provoked oohs and ah-s from the audience. There was such an entertaining contrast of leopard prints and furs alongside shimmering sequins and pared down Gatsby glamour.
