Theory top, Marc by Marc Jacobs jacket, Current/Elliott jeans, Isabel Marant boots, Mont Blanc belt

This is what I wore today. A little denim, a little leopard, a little game of tug-of-war with the hair against the wind is what makes this look appropriate for wild, untamed weather that neither indicates an end to winter nor a start to spring. Now I find it more convenient to take pictures of the outfit of the day at school. If I roll myself out of bed early enough, sometimes I take a few photos in the morning as I am running out the door. Otherwise, expect to routinely see me at random areas of school while Conor takes over with the camera.

Let's talk belts. Last weekend I went to South Coast Plaza in search of a simple black belt without one of those colossal logo buckles that you usually find on Gucci and Valentino belts. I went into Prada, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Bottega Venetta, Bally, and Miu Miu. And low and behold, none of these boutiques had a plain black leather belt. Most of the belts they had were either made for the waist, not the right color, not the right width, made for men, or not the right size. I know it's kind of insane that I couldn't find such a basic accessory considering the fact that I was in the inordinate mass of stores known as South Coast Plaza, where you can find pretty much anything. I was about to leave without a belt until — gasp! ― I stopped and stared through the windows of  Mont Blanc. I know Mont Blanc is known for their illustrious pens, but their belts are equally impeccable, which is why I bought the slick double-sided belt pictured above. Moral of the story? Finding a basic black leather belt is not as easy as you think but never give up.
